Dolores Resano (Articles Editor)
Dolores Resano is a predoctoral research fellow at the Centre Dona i Literatura where she is completing a dissertation on post-9/11 fiction and satire. She holds a BA in English Philology from the Universitat de Barcelona, where she also obtained an MA in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities with a dissertation on post-9/11 fiction, trauma theory, and Don DeLillo’s Falling Man. Her current research examines satirical fiction’s potential for ethical engagement and how it can question, reshape and/or dissent from political and media rhetoric around 9/11 and the War on Terror. She is a member of the editorial board for the peer-reviewed journal 452ºF. Journal of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature and coordinates the site for online reviews Lletra de dona.

Dr Grace Halden (Online Editor)
Grace Halden is a lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Literature at Birkbeck College, University of London. She has particular interest and expertise in the representations of technology in popular culture. Grace is currently working on a book on nuclear power in American popular culture, which ties into her fascination with technological influence and human response in the 20th and 21st Century.
Dr Harriet Earle (Articles Editor, 2015)
Dr Harriet Earle is an Associate Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Literature at Birkbeck, University of London. She recently completed her PhD in American Comics at Keele University. She is currently preparing her first monograph on the topic of comics and conflict trauma. Her publications are spread across the field of comics studies and in the future she hopes to continue working on traumatic representation in comics, literature and art.
Andrea Dietrich (Online Editor, 2015-2016)
Andrea Dietrich is an Associate Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University where she is also currently writing her PhD on existential agency in Science Fiction, 2010-2015. She is a graduate of Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz, Germany (BA, MA), Université de Bourgogne, France (MA) and Birkbeck University London (MA). Andrea is the current British Science Fiction Association’s Event Officer and has been the Online Editor for Alluvium since 2015. Her fields of interest include Jean-Paul Sartre’s Existentialism, Existential psychoanalysis, narratology, Cognitive Poetics and Science Fiction.
Michael Amherst (Online Editor, 2015)
Michael Amherst is a writer of fiction and non-fiction. He is a PhD candidate at Birkbeck College, University of London, combining critical work with creative practice, exploring outsiders and transcendence in the fiction of J. M. Coetzee and Marilynne Robinson. His work has been published internationally, including the Guardian, New Statesman, the Spectator, The White Review and Contrappasso magazine. He has been shortlisted for the 2012 Bridport Prize and longlisted for the 2014 BBC Opening Lines and 2015 Bath Short Story Prize. Michael’s work has been performed at Stroud Short Stories, the inaugural London LitCrawl and the Accidental Festival at London’s Roundhouse.
